Leatherhead 30" Halligan and 8 lb Ultra-Force Axe
A great combination to get the job done!
30″ Leatherhead Halligan Bar
Leatherhead Halligan Bars are designed with feedback from firefighters about what they want and need in a Halligan tool.
Leatherhead Halligans come ”tuned” right out of the box with reference lines on the forks and adz for setting the tool during conventional forcible entry. They have squared shoulders, and thin forks for those tight door forces. The adz end has a smooth striking surface to eliminate awkward striking angles and is designed to help prevent “skinning” an outward swinging door, flatter than previous models. The forks have a one-inch spread between the tines to remove doorknobs for through-the-lock techniques. Lastly, Leatherhead understands fire company pride and clean tools, that’s why they finish their Halligan Bars with a Zinc coating to help prevent rust and make this tool easy to clean.
Leatherhead Tools uses traditional forging and high-carbon steel to produce their bars. Their team takes it one step further, every forged bar is tested for strength from pick end to fork end before it leaves their shop.
- Made in the U.S.A.
- 100% drop forged in the U.S.A. with American high-carbon metal and age-old craftsmanship
- Ideal for forcible entry, overhaul, and ventilation operations
- Designed to live up to the limited lifetime warranty
8 lb Ultra-Force Axe
This elite forcible entry striking tool is taking the standard force axe up a level. Paired with Leatherhead’s Halligan Bar, firefighters will have an upper edge when forcing entry. The Ultra-Force axe only comes in one weight, 8 lb. to provide the desired weight and force to get the job done.
This tool was made with the understanding that not every department has a large staff. How can we help make forced entry less of a struggle for a single person or a two-person team? Offer a tool with mechanical advantage and leverage, and the Ultra-Force Axe has it!
- Made in the U.S.A.
- The metal is heat treated to assure strength and durability
- The striking side of the tool is oversized, providing protection for your hands
- The bottom of the axe beard (cutting side) is longer like a lumberjack's axe for more contact area while used to chop or cut
- The cutting side is sharp and thin so you can use the blade to wedge tight spaces during forcible entry operations
- Yellow and black handles come with the deer hoof handle
- Green and orange handles come with a straight handle
The Leatherhead Lock feature allows for two functions
- A Halligan Bar can be married to the handle side groove for firefighters to securely carry a Set of Irons one-handed
- The top side of the Leatherhead Lock allows firefighters to marry to the forks of a Halligan Bar to add extra leverage or mechanical advantage when needed
