Sizing Guidelines Using the New 2018 NFPA Sizing Convention

A notable addition to the NFPA 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structure Firefighting and Proximity Firefighting, 2018 Edition, involves mandatory numerical sizing with a designation of normal or wide. There are 7 numerical sizes required, from 64-82, shown below, along with optional sizes.

Proper size and fit is determined by measuring the length of your index finger in millimeters to reach the closest numerical size. A measurement across the top of your knuckles will give you the corresponding width. In the example below, the glove size would be 76N.

Each size is closely equivalent to the alpha sizes for our gloves, but please note the best way to determine your
new size is to follow the instruction above.

All information can be found in the NFPA 1971:2018 Standard.

    Good gloves

Good dexterity, seem to be holding up well , don’t feel annoying stitch in ends of fingers like some other gloves. So far my favorite set.
