Details

Ultra low-profile design. Full-brim protection. Legendary Cairns performance.

The Cairns 660C Metro Structural Fire Helmet combines traditional full-brim protection with an ultra low-profile design that improves balance, mobility, and comfort on the fireground. Built with MSA Cairns’ proven DuraGlas® fiberglass composite shell, the 660C Metro delivers exceptional durability, impact protection, and thermal resistance—making it one of the most trusted structural helmets in the fire service.

Color is molded directly through the fiberglass composite shell to help minimize the appearance of chips, scratches, and wear, allowing the helmet to maintain a professional appearance throughout years of service.

Designed to perform in the most demanding fireground conditions, the 660C Metro features rugged, high-temperature components that maintain performance under extreme heat and operational stress. Its full-brim design offers enhanced water runoff and debris protection while maintaining the low-profile fit firefighters rely on during interior and exterior operations.

    Best helmet I’ve ever owned

Posted by Verified Buyer on Jul 1st 2024

I have personally had this helmet for a while and it is easily the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn, quick to tighten and loosen and also to take on and off. Got my bunk up time under a minute with this helmet, I trust my life with this helmet and you can too.

    Excellent Choice

I purchased this for winter and it has served me very well. The snaps and zippers are all easy to access even in cold weather and the hi-viz striping has proven useful at night.

    Bulletproof!

Posted by Verified Buyer on Aug 20th 2013

I have had a Metro since I could walk. Here I am, 16 years later, and could not be taken out of one! These things are indestructable, completely versatile, and can be assigned to either structural or non-structural firefighters.

REAL protection in the oil and gas indus

Posted by Verified Buyer on May 20th 2012

    1. I use this product when inspecting wellheads, drillings rigs, fracking of new wells, compressor stations, gas plant fractionators, gathering and distribution stations, measuring emissions from oil stock tanks and other sources. 2. This 660C Helmet provides real thermal protection for the head and face. The thin plastic ""hard hats"" in current use will give the wearer a ""really bad hair day"" if they are caught in a fire. 3. The 660C is slightly heavier that the current ""hard hats"" but on the third day of use the weight factor is no longer noticable as the neck muscles adjust.
