Vallfirest Heliskid, 300L BH4-23H
Helitransportable Defense System for PickUp Vehicles
The Vallfirest Heliskid is a high-capacity, helitransportable skid unit tailored for light vehicles, specially designed to facilitate direct attack firefighting operations with a mobile water line in remote areas. With six times the water capacity of traditional skid units and a powerful motor pump, Heliskid is an invaluable resource for quick deployment and rapid response.
Purpose and Functionality
The Heliskid is designed to be helitransported to hard-to-reach locations where pickup trucks cannot go, allowing it to act as a mobile water supply point. The system is strategically placed, filled with water from a helicopter, and pressure-fed to fire pumps and hoses, making it an effective solution for fighting wildfires in remote terrains.
Key Components
Foldable Canvas Tank: Holds up to 3,000 liters (792 gallons) of water.
4 Lifting Points: For secure transport via helicopter.
High-Performance Motor Pump: 4-stage motor pump with options for engines ranging from 13HP to 23HP.
Reinforced Aluminum Frame: Ensures durability and stability.
Fuel Tank: 12-liter (3-gallon) fuel capacity for extended operation.
Telescopic Structure: Adjustable for stability on uneven terrain.
Transport and Unloading
Versatile Transport: Compatible with most pickup models, including double-cab vehicles like the Nissan Navara, occupying the entire truck bed for maximum capacity. Two additional Heliskid units can be towed.
Unloading and Stabilization: The unit’s four telescopic legs are assembled on-site to secure the unit and prepare it for water loading.
Helitransport and Deployment
Heliskid is easily airlifted from the unloading position to the firefighting zone. Upon reaching the site, the canvas tank is deployed and filled via helicopter water drops, allowing firefighters to set up and use the water supply effectively.
Sequence of Deployment
Transportation: To the location.
Stabilization: Secure the unit in place.
Filling: Canvas tank is filled with water from a helicopter.
Operation: Water is pressure-fed through pumps and hoses for firefighting.
