The Vallfirest Gorgui is a specially designed multi-purpose tool for wildland firefighting, developed from the insights and experiences of seasoned firefighting brigades. This innovative tool replaces three commonly used tools, streamlining your gear and enhancing efficiency in the field.
Key Features
Multi-Function Head: Crafted from an aluminum and titanium alloy, the head combines the functionalities of a McLeod, cutting rake, and two types of Pulaskis—one wide for organic terrain and one narrow for rocky conditions. The cutting blades are made from 500 hardness anti-wear steel, ensuring durability and effectiveness.
Cutting Function: The external angle of the blades is designed for high cutting capacity, maximizing work efficiency while minimizing effort. The interchangeable blades are secured with structural rivets, providing reliability during use.
Stripping Function: The Gorgui performs the McLeod function effectively. The blade's design facilitates easy dragging and pickling of the ground, making it ideal for fire line preparation.
Digging Function: Equipped with two hoes that replicate the Pulaski tool's functions, the narrow hoe is perfect for rocky terrain, while the wide hoe excels in organic soil.
Ergonomic Handle: The 1.25 m (49 in) eucalyptus handle features a variable diameter for improved grip and comfort. It is designed for optimal ergonomics during different head functions.
