Each shell is crafted from top-grade vegetable-tanned cowhide, selected for strength, flexibility, and durability. Unlike the rigid leather helmets of the past, Phenix uses modern tanning methods to create a shell that remains flexible under impact — helping reduce transmitted force while preventing cracking over time.

Important Notes

• Phenix no longer installs flip-downs on NFPA compliant helmets. Bourkes must be installed by the customer after purchase.
• OSHA-compliant helmets cannot later be converted to NFPA compliance.
