Petzl VERTEX® Helmet
Secure Fit. Proven Suspension. Built for Technical Operations.
The Petzl VERTEX® Helmet is engineered for professionals who demand long-wear comfort, stability, and reliable protection in high-risk environments. Featuring a six-point textile suspension system and advanced fit technologies, the VERTEX delivers balanced performance for both work at height and ground-based operations.
Designed for technical rescue, rope access, confined space, utility work, and emergency response, the VERTEX combines modular adaptability with dependable impact protection.
Six-Point Suspension for All-Day Comfort
At the core of the VERTEX is its six-point textile suspension system, designed to conform naturally to the shape of the head for superior comfort and weight distribution.
Unlike foam-dominant liner systems, the textile suspension provides:
- Improved airflow and breathability
- Reduced pressure points during extended wear
- Balanced load distribution
- Stable fit during movement and climbing
This makes it particularly well-suited for long-duration rescue operations and rope work.
Precision Fit and Stability
CENTERFIT System
Dual side adjustment wheels allow perfect centering of the helmet on the head, improving balance and reducing helmet shift during dynamic movement.
FLIP&FIT System
Positions the headband low on the head for increased security and comfort. The system folds into the shell for compact storage and transport.
Together, these systems ensure a stable, customized fit even in confined or elevated environments.
Dual-Certified for Height and Ground Work
The DUAL chinstrap system allows users to adapt the helmet depending on operational needs:
- High-strength setting (EN 12492 – Work at Height)
Limits the risk of helmet loss during a fall. - Low-strength setting (EN 397 – Ground Use)
Reduces strangulation risk if the helmet becomes snagged.
This flexibility makes the VERTEX ideal for teams transitioning between rope rescue, structural access, and ground-based response.
Protective Shell Design
The unventilated ABS outer shell provides dependable protection against:
- Electrical hazards
- Molten metal splash
- Flame exposure
- General impact hazards
Shock absorption is achieved through controlled deformation of the outer shell during impact.
Modular Rescue Platform
The VERTEX is fully modular and integrates easily with mission-specific accessories:
- EASYCLIP eye shield system
- Petzl headlamp mounts
- Headlamps with elastic bands
- Hearing protection
- Helmet protector for debris and paint splash
- Nape protector for sun and rain protection
- Nametag holder for identification
- Replaceable chinstrap and comfort foam
This modularity allows departments and teams to configure the helmet based on operational needs.
