These Rx Inserts make it easy for you to slide your prescription lenses into the resilient, battle-hardened CDI™ Sunglasses.
For those who wear prescription eyewear, ESS has developed an effective solution for inserting prescription lenses into CDI™ Sunglasses. After lenses have been corrected by an optometrist and fit into the CDI Rx Inserts, these low-profile Rx integrations slide into the CDI™ Sunglasses like any other replacement lens. The Rx Inserts offer a range of corrections to +5.5/-6.
One set of CDI Rx Inserts contains two lens carriers (one left, one right) and a lens template. The CDI Sunglass frame is sold separately.
Safety note: Using these CDI Rx Inserts renders the CDI Sunglass system non-compliant with Mil-Spec MIL-PRF-31013 and ANSI Z87.1. Using these Rx Inserts in proximity to fragmentation hazards can result in serious eye injury. ESS strongly recommends the use of high-impact polycarbonate prescription lenses to optimize impact resistance in the CDI™ sunglass. High-impact polycarbonate prescription lens material will maximize the impact resistance of the system well beyond that offered by CR-39 resin or other common materials used in prescription lens manufacturing.
