Built on Streamlight’s proven, dependable Survivor Right-Angle Fire Light platform. This powerful and long-running rechargeable lamp is an advanced dual LED work light, engineered to help you get the most critical jobs done right, almost anywhere. The Knucklehead’s powerful magnet, spring loaded clip, and stable base give you more options for placement. The super-strong 135 lb. pull rare-earth magnet is protected by a durable nickel plated steel housing and removable rubber boot. You can stand it up, stick it on steel, clip it to nearly anything, or just hold it—then use the innovative 360-degree articulating head to aim the optimized beam precisely on the area that needs it.

Dual C4 LED technology casts a broad, bright, working light. Streamlight engineers took their most advanced C4 LED Technology and cast it in a very different light. The Knucklehead harnesses the bright white light of two powerful, virtually unbreakable C4 LEDs in a unique hybrid optical system designed to evenly illuminate a wide area, while literally highlighting a specific zone for focused work in the beam’s smoothly optimized center. The shock-proof LEDs are thoroughly protected against moisture, dust, and impact behind an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a silicone anti-scratch coating and O-ring sealed in a rubber-armored heavy duty bezel.

Advanced digital power regulation for steady output, longer runtime, and maximum efficiency. Streamlight’s microprocessor technology regulates power to deliver virtually full light output for more than 90% of the ANSI specified runtime. On High setting—an exceptional 200 lumens—the rechargeable Knucklehead Ni-Cad battery pack provides up to 3.5 hours of continuous runtime before power starts to fall off. At the Low setting it provides a very functional 63 lumens—more than enough light for less-critical operations—for up to 16 hours. Or you can provide a soft flood of light for survival situations or general navigation for as much as 20 DAYS of continuous operation. And like the proven Survivor, on which it is based, the Knucklehead’s dual power system lets you quickly replace a depleted Ni-Cad pack with 4 AA alkaline batteries. Runtime should never be a problem.

    Works well

Posted by Verified Buyer on May 12th 2015

Not bad. Door has to be able to open to at least 90 degrees to be able to use the chock properly. It looks cool sitting in the bond on your helmet, but a wood chock works just as well, if not better.

    Great multi purpose light

Posted by Verified Buyer on Oct 23rd 2013

I love the articulating head, though I did have to send it back shortly after I got it due to the light cutting in and out but have had no problems since for about a year of heavy use. Add a key ring and it fits the clips and straps on my turnouts perfectly. I even like the magnet for vehicle extrications, snap it to the metal and direct the beam. It is not a long distance spot light but works great as a flood and is bright in a good area around it. Handles water excellently and does decent with overhaul and mild smoke. Does not cut your heavy stuff though. I would like having the option to switch flood to spot but overall a great light.

Love it so much I bought a second one

Posted by Verified Buyer on Oct 22nd 2013

I bought one of these lights because I recognized the need for a flood light during extrication and working patients in the dark. The light comes with a clip and a magnet. The magnet is very strong and stays where you put it. Then you can swivel the head to put the light where you need it. When cutting cars I leave the light attached to my turnout coat but swivel the light head where I need it. During patient assessment it is nice to provide light for everyone to see the patient from head to toe. I love this light so much that I purchased a second one to replace my streamlight survivor led spotlight (the version that most fire departments use)that I was using for car towing. The magnet is has a rubber cover that doesn't scratch my customers cars or my tow truck. I stick it on for more light to find hook points, read vin numbers, fill out invoices for customers to sign, and work on my truck. I recommend this light to anyone looking to get a lot of light in a large area within 30 feet of them. If your looking to spot an fox 150 feet away this isn't for you.

    Not what expected.

I am a professional firefighter and was not impressed with the brightness of this light. The non-articulating head streamlights seemed much brighter. It also didn't fit properly on my gear. The clip doesn't reach the clip that's part of my turnout coat.
