Great boots but they run narrow.

Posted by Brian Gilland on Jul 1st 2024

These boots are great quality and very comfortable. I ordered a pair of 12 Wide. I don’t necessarily usually need the wide option on boots but I usually get them wide because they give my foot a little extra room and help make the boots a little more comfortable. These boots, even though they are wide, they still run more narrow than most other brands wide boots. My foot fits snuggly in these boots but I find that in these, that doesn’t bother me. While snug, they are still extremely comfortable and I feel offer better support than my much more expensive Globe structural boots I used to have.

    Excellent Boot

Posted by Verified Buyer on Jan 8th 2017

I am new to the firefighting profession, but I've worn boots all my working life, ranging from flight boots to general work boots. Boots are one thing that I don't have an issue with when it comes to paying good money for a good pair. So far, these fit the bill. Right out of the box, it is obvious that they are very substantial, well-built boots. They have a heaviness to them that I appreciate, without being too lumbering. They are very comfortable to wear, with a nice ridge in the insole that your toes rest over the top of (similar to that of Ariat boots). I look forward to wearing them more. I've read nothing but rave reviews and heard excellent things about Haix boots, including my dad, who wears them as flight boots. It's obvious why, now.

    Great Boots!

Posted by Verified Buyer on Oct 27th 2016

Couldn't be happier with these boots. I've had several different pairs of structural firefighting boots and these are by far the most comfortable. It's only been a few months so it's too soon to tell as far as durability goes, but no problems so far. I definitely recommend these boots. And although very expensive, thefirestore.com had the best price with holiday coupon and they arrived about 4 days after I ordered

Not bad, but hurt your feet

Posted by Verified Buyer on Jan 22nd 2016

Our department bought some of these boots, but all of us were disappointed. They fit tight and hurt your ankles after an hour or two. Heavier than other high priced leather boots. Even after breaking them in, they hurt our feet and the fit got too loose.

No price too high for safety, comfort, and reliability!

I use this product for structural/interior firefighting, and I'm VERY pleased with this item. What's not to like when the job is done, and your feet still feel good? These boots are perfect. Highly recommended for its purpose. Only negative is the price, but you pay for what you get. WELL worth it.

I recently bought these at a local store and all I can say is WOW! They are extremely comfortable (almost more comfortable then my station boots) and they look great the bright yellow stripe on the side helps with visibility and is just a nice touch. it is tight around the ankle bit it is meant to to prevent Someone rolling there ankle. They are a bit heavier then the globe supremes but the reason being is the metal shank goes from the toe to heel and all the way down the bottom of the foot to prevent and object like a nail to puncture them while the globes are just parts like where the foot arches. They are extremely easy to don and doff and are NFPA compliant for structural firefighting and hazmat and trench rescue. Overall I give them a 5 out of 5
