When not in use, the bag portion of the pouch stays folded under Ten-Speed® elastic. When needed, a simple pull on the bottom tab deploys a bag big enough to hold 10 M4 magazines. and stuffs up into the elastic eliminating flopping of an empty pouch the bag portion The stowed pouch design eliminates the snagging and flopping around of bulky bags; posing as a snag hazard. The open top can be easily cinched with one hand to secure the contents.
